Tomer Baba

Tomer Baba is Executive Vice President of Algorithms R&D at Mobileye, leading all algorithmic development across the company’s ADAS and AV product lines, including the Road Experience Management™ (REM) mapping solution.

For over 15 years, Baba has shaped Mobileye’s core technologies—from pedestrian detection and automated emergency braking to camera-based sensing. He led the development of the industry’s first camera-only system capable of braking for pedestrians, a breakthrough that remains unmatched. He also holds multiple patents in the field.    

Baba received his BSc in computer engineering and an MSc in computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Outside of work, he spends time with his wife and two children, plays on the Mobileye soccer team, and is an avid basketball fan.
