Johann Jungwirth (JJ) leads Mobileye’s AV group and is responsible for the development and releases of Mobileye's L2+ to L5 AV products, including Mobileye SuperVision™, Mobileye Chauffeur™, and Mobileye Drive™. He is also responsible for the global deployment and rollout of Mobileye’s Mobility-as-a-Service business based on self-driving vehicles, including the global MaaS scale-out strategy, vehicle programs, fleets, and mobility platform and services.

Before joining Mobileye in 2019, Johann held engineering leadership roles at some of the world’s biggest automakers, including Volkswagen Group and Mercedes-Benz/Daimler. As an automotive industry veteran for 25 years who has been working on self-driving vehicle programs for 10 years, he is particularly excited about Mobileye’s AV platforms and solutions to make road traffic safer and more convenient for everyone.

Johann received a diploma degree in electrical engineering with a focus on automation and robotics from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Germany, and subsequently attended executive leadership programs at the Wharton Business School in conjunction with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland. Jungwirth now lives in Jerusalem with his wife and four children and outside of work, enjoys traveling and snorkeling.
