The advantages of Mobileye’s mono-camera based technology have been recognised by a growing list of vehicle makers. Production started with three makers from 2007 – Volvo, BMW and General Motors on multiple vehicles, and has now become more widespread in the market. Mobileye is currently working on series programs for launch through to MY15 (year 2014) and beyond for 10 different vehicle makers, and will be available as either an optional extra or standard fit on over 100 vehicles in the market place, with functions ranging from LDW through to vision only Adaptive Cruise Control and Low Speed Collision Mitigation by Braking.
