SeeQ2

A Single Board Automotive Vision System - An advanced stand-alone camera and vision processing module for automotive applications.

Mobileye's SeeQ2® offers a compact and powerful processing platform for computationally intensive real time visual recognition and scene interpretation applications. The highly integrated SeeQ2 board includes the Mobileye EyeQ2™, an exteremely powerful vision processor, a High Dynamic Range CMOS image sensor, Flash and SDRAM memories and all the additional components required for a stand alone vision system: CAN and GPIO interfaces, protected power supply and expansion connector. The SeeQ2's compact dimensions (33mmx65mm) allow easy integration into the vehicle, such as at  the rear-view mirror base.

The SeeQ2® board is based on Mobileye's EyeQ2™ vision system on a chip (VSoC) that runs Mobileye's range of driver assistance applications. The Mobileye EyeQ2™ capabilities include Lane Detection and Road Geometry estimation, Vehicle Detection, Intelligent Headlight Control, Traffic Sign Recognition and Pedestrian Detection.

The SeeQ2® board also serves as the processing platform for Mobileye's Advance Warning System (AWS) product range. Mobileye AWS includes Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Headway Monitoring & Warning. The AWS system is designed to alert the driver of potential collision situations and unintentional lane departure and increase awareness to dangerous situations during driving.

Highlights:
• Compact platform for computationally intensive real time visual recognition.
• Mobileye's EyeQ2™ vision system on a chip (VSoC)
• 110 dB High Dynamic Range CMOS VGA Image Sensor
• Interface to the car signals
• Meets automotive in-cabin qualification requirements
• Low power consumption
• Built-in CAN 2.0A/B channel
• Highly integrated / small size

High Dynamic Range Camera
The SeeQ2® on-board camera is designed to work in a wide range of challenging lighting situations such as low sun, and fast transitions between dark and bright scenes such as tunnel entry and exit. The camera is based on the Aptina (Micron) MT9V024 high dynamic range CMOS Image sensor. An advanced context-based Automatic Gain Control program allows optimal utilization of the sensor's dynamic range. The camera captures up to 60 FPS monochromatic/RCC 10-bit images at 640 x 480 pixel processed resolution. The high resolution 5-element glass lens offers a horizontal field-of-view of ~40 degrees.

CAN 2.0A/B channel for interface with other AWS modules
The SeeQ2® includes a Bosch CAN 2.0A/B channel at a rate of up to 1Mbps. The CAN channel can be used for receiving vehicle data (speed, status of turn and brake signals and shut-off command) as well as for communicating with an HMI module that generates visual and audio warning signals such as for collision and lane departure warnings (e.g. the Mobileye AWS display and control module).

GPIO signals
The SeeQ2® has four input and three I/O signals that can be used for various functions. An additional on-off input powers the unit only when the car engine is running. The output signals can be used to turn on an external buzzer or warning LED. The input signals can be used as an alternative to the CAN for receiving vehicle data.

Compliance with safety and EMI standards
The SeeQ2® is certified by CE, UL and CSA certification laboratories.

Applications
The SeeQ2® supports Mobileye's AWS application which includes Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Headway Monitoring & Warning but can also support Mobileye's entire range of vision applications.
