Since 2007 our proprietary software algorithms and EyeQ® chips have empowered vehicle manufacturers to improve safety, performing detailed interpretations of the road ahead to anticipate potential collisions with cars, trucks, motorcycles, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
Mobileye’s trusted solutions continue to be integrated into new vehicle models, with planned implementation into for 313 models from 27 vehicle manufacturers.
Mobileye also offers an aftermarket Advanced Driver Assistance System that leverages the algorithms and EyeQ chips used in new vehicles. This aftermarket system can be installed in any vehicle, making it an ideal solution for fleets looking to improve safety.
Mobileye was founded in 1999 by Professor Amnon Shashua and Mr. Ziv Aviram. Since its inception, Mobileye’s goal has been to develop vision-based systems to improve on-road safety and reduce collisions.
Furthering this goal, Mobileye operates its machine vision development center in Jerusalem, employing approximately 450 engineers. In addition, Mobileye has offices in the U.S., Germany, Japan, and China.
Mobileye has invested over 15 years in R&D to gain an unparalleled knowhow. The company is the global leader in the development of monocular vision-based advanced collision avoidance systems, providing system-on-chip and computer-vision algorithms to run Driver Assistance Systems (DAS) functions such as Lane Departure Warning, Vehicle Detection for radar-vision fusion, Forward Collision Warning, Headway Monitoring, Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent High Beam Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, vision-only Adaptive Cruise Control, and more.
Mobileye’s key technical breakthroughs lie in the use of a mono camera for all of its applications and in bundling together multiple applications to run simultaneously on a single EyeQ® processor. This gives Mobileye a clear advantage in offering affordable systems with multiple functions on a single hardware platform, and in performing tasks previously only possible by an array of different sensors. Mobileye N.V. is the global leader in the development of computer vision and machine learning, data analysis, localization and mapping for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and autonomous driving. Our technology keeps passengers safer on the roads, reduces the risks of traffic accidents, saves lives and has the potential to revolutionize the driving experience by enabling autonomous driving. Our proprietary software algorithms and EyeQ® chips perform detailed interpretations of the visual field in order to anticipate possible collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, animals, debris and other obstacles. Mobileye’s products are also able to detect roadway markings such as lanes, road boundaries, barriers and similar items, as well as to identify and read traffic signs and traffic lights.
Our products are or will be integrated into car models from 27 global automakers including BMW, Ford, General Motors, Nissan, Volvo, Audi and Hyundai. In addition, we also offer aftermarket collision avoidance solutions.
